Matías Vecino would like a move to Tottenham but is yet to be included in the deal taking Christian Eriksen to Inter Milan.
That’s according to Corriere Dello Sport, who report that the midfielder has ‘got his bags packed’ after a misunderstanding with Antonio Conte.
The newspaper reports that on Monday the player told Inter’s medical staff that he would not be available for the match against Conte because he still had calf pain.
However, he left training before speaking to Conte, who then heard about his ‘early’ exit and made him come back, before then sending him home again.
This has pushed him further towards the exit door and the Uruguayan ‘likes’ Tottenham, but at the moment there have been no discussions.
Inter are working on bringing Eriksen to the club this month and rumours had suggested Vecino could be a part of it, but at the moment that is not the case.
However, that could be a ‘conversation that goes hand in hand’, with his agent meeting the club to discuss the situation yesterday.
While he is keen on the move to Tottenham, there is no mention if they have an interest in him, although they could do with midfield reinforcements this month after the injury to Moussa Sissoko.
