Over the past few months, there have been some sporadic reports suggesting that Arsenal are interested in Samuele Ricci.
It started back in April of last year, when it was claimed the Gunners and Leicester had initiated contact to sign the young midfielder, before a new article came out a few weeks later stating the pair were being forced to wait before making a move for him.
It all went quiet after that, before Mikel Arteta’s side were brought back into the mix earlier this month, as Gazzetta dello Sport explained the player was ‘liked’ by Arsenal.
Well, fast forward to Sunday evening, and Calciomercato push that line again, reporting, in an albeit very brief report, that since Empoli have been ‘showcasing’ their starlet, he has ‘ended up in the sights’ of the the Gunners.
The 20-year-old has been almost ever-present in Serie A with Empoli, starting 17 games from a possible 21, as well as picking up one goal and one assist in the process.
He also picked up a red card in the 2-0 loss against Inter back on October 27th.
