According to claim in the Turkish media, Galatasaray are still showing interest in Crystal Palace midfielder Jefferson Lerma.
The Turkish champions were linked with the Colombia international during the last transfer window as they looked to bring in a defensive midfielder.
Galatasaray journalist Eyüp Yıldız has spoken to Haber Sarikirmizi and he claims the Super Lig side have been in talks with the player. Yıldız says Galatasaray could make another attempt to sign Lerma during the next transfer window and are lining up a potential offer for him.
“Galatasaray have been interested in the Colombian player before and have met with him several times. It didn’t happen then. A Jefferson Lerma move could be made at halfway. Galatasaray can complete this transfer for €8-10m,” said the Turkish journalist.
Lerma was also linked with transfer to Gala’s local rivals Fenerbahce as Jose Mourinho looked to find a central midfielder partner for Fred.
Fener reportedly held talks with Crystal Palace, but eventually loaned Sofyan Amrabat from Fiorentina.
The Colombian has started three of Palace’s opening seven Premier League games and is contracted to the club until June 2026, with the option of another year.
