We really should have seen it coming. In fact, we’re really ashamed we didn’t, but, and we are so, so sorry about this, André Silva to Wolverhampton appears to be a thing again.
We won’t bore you with the details again, but in short, Milan need money, they were prepared to sell both the Portuguese striker (to Monaco) and Patrick Cutrone, whom Wolves were reportedly keen on.
However, Silva’s move to the principality club crumbled at the last hurdle, while the Italian forward wasn’t thrilled at the idea of joining the Premier League side.
So, what’s the next logical thing to happen? Jorge Mendes trying to palm off the Portugal international to Nuno Espirito Santo, of course.
Gazzetta dello Sport explain the forward could ‘house himself’ at Molineux, even if Wolves have shown more interest in Cutrone.
This is also pushed by Corriere dello Sport, but they do point out this would only become serious if the young Italian cannot be convinced to move to the West Midlands.
It’s in its early days, but it’s there, and while it makes a lot of sense since Silva knows Nuno Espirito Santo well and Wolves could do with another striker, we’ve seen it come and go so many times that we still find it hard to believe.
