Billy Gilmour started for Brighton & Hove Albion in their dramatic win over Manchester United at the weekend.

Despite that, there’s still confidence in Italy that a move to Napoli is in the works.

CalcioNapoli24 have reported on the Scotsman’s move to the Italian giants, with the completion of the transfer having been postponed – for now.

Today was supposed to be day when Gilmour was going to complete the transfer but that isn’t the case anymore.

This is due to some technical details and Napoli hadn’t actually scheduled medicals today.

That isn’t presented a major worry though, as the transfer is expected to be done between Tuesday and Wednesday. The situation is said to be linked to those of Scott McTominay and Romelu Lukaku, who are also about to join the Partenopei.

CalcioNapoli24 feel like they’re tracking back somewhat, having made a big noise about the medical taking place today. Again, until Napoli match what Brighton want then Gilmour won’t be travelling anywhere.
