Manchester United return to being mentioned as one of the favourites to land Adrien Rabiot from Juventus this summer.
Calcio Mercato feature a piece saying the player is between Juventus, Paris Saint Germain and the Premier League, as he lives through a quite unpredictable situation.
Rabiot’s contract with the Old Lady expires in one year, and with the club willing to sell him, he’s seen as ‘expendable on the market’.
So they set a price of €15m to let him go, and his agents are said to be ‘testing the waters’ to check any potential destinations for him.
It’s said his mother, Veronique, is having a ‘constructive dialogue’ with PSG, despite their issues in the past, and a ‘sensational return’ couldn’t be ruled out.
And regarding the Premier League, that’s where Manchester United stand out. Calcio Mercato says the Red Devils took ‘concrete steps’ and the price for the transfer ‘is not a problem’.
The report, however, points out that Erik ten Hag’s side could find difficulties when it comes to attracting the player, because convincing him of making the move ‘is not so simple’.
This month, we’d already covered claims from Italy saying Rabiot was offered to Manchester United, who gave a ‘positive response’ to the possibility of the operation.
