Manchester United are set to lose scout Andreas Herrmann, who is on his way to Germany to join VfB Stuttgart instead.

That’s according to Sky Germany, who say the 31-year-old is on his way to Germany as part of a restructuring at the club.

They explain that Stuttgart have been strengthening their scouting department ahead of this summer, bringing in Thomas Henning from SC Paderborn and Stefan Brandenburger from VfL Wolfsburg.

A third name can now be added to that list, with Sky reporting that Herrmann ‘will join’ from Manchester United.

The 31-year-old has worked for Manchester United since 2013 and is considered an ‘expert’ in tracking down young talent.

That’s seemingly seen him targeted by Stuttgart, who are undergoing a restructuring of their background staff after narrowly avoiding relegation from the Bundesliga this season.

It seems they want to change how things are done and have targeted the United scout in the hope of finding young talent to be developed for the future.
