Two days ago, we carried a report from Foot Mercato, who stated that Manchester United could soon make an offer for Nordi Mukiele.

The 24-year-old has mainly operated as right-back/right wing-back, but has also been used in the heart of defence and as a left-back on a few occasions this season. He has two goals and five assists to his name from 37 matches in all competitions.

Manchester United interest in the France international was also discussed by Fussball Transfers. Their title read: ‘United prepare Mukiele offer’.

‘There is bound to be a market situation’ and ‘other clubs want to exploit’ the situation in the summer, when he will have a year left on his contract. This includes the Red Devils, who want to ‘see their interest lead to a formal offer’. Atlético Madrid are also tagged.

Bild have come up with a report that will give encouragement to the versatile defender’s suitors, like Manchester United.

It’s claimed there have been no talks between the player’s camp and the Bundesliga side for an extension and it is ‘not to be expected either’. Leipzig’s idea is to let him leave in the summer and collect ‘at least’ €10m in the process.

The German club must sell Mukiele in the next window in order to avoid losing him for nothing in 2023. With Manchester United interested, they have a perfect chance to secure his signature.
