Manchester United are interested in signing RB Leipzig’s Nordi Mukiele, according to claims today.

Foot Mercato is the outlet claiming the Red Devils have been following the player for ‘several years’, and now have their chase backed by Ralf Rangnick.

The report claims the official, who’ll ‘continue to play a strategic role’ at the club, ‘knows him well’, as he’d been working at the German side when the player arrived there.

The story claims Manchester United’s interest ‘could materialise with an offer soon’, even though it’s still not said how much the Red Devils would like to spend on his signing. For now, RB Leipzig’s demands aren’t revealed either.

Manchester United, however, are set to face tough competition for Mukiele. According to Foot Mercato, the 24-year-old has been drawing interest from the likes of Paris Saint Germain, Atletico Madrid and Bayern Munich.

The Frenchman is currently valued by Transfermarkt at 25m.

He can play variety of roles, mainly on the right, including right-back, right wing-back, and higher up the pitch.
