Earlier on Wednesday, Corriere dello Sport explained there has ‘already been an approach’ from Manchester United for Victor Osimhen.
The striker has been in fine form for the Serie A side, managing 18 goals and six assists in all competitions this season. He is set to feature against Spezia in the last tie of this campaign and ‘there is a concrete possibility’ it could be the 23-year-old’s final game for the Naples club.
That’s what La Repubblica are reporting today and they add he is targeted by at least two Premier League sides, including Manchester United.
It’s claimed the Red Devils are ‘in pole position’ to sign the Nigeria international and are ‘ready to knock’ on Napoli chief Aurelio De Laurentiis’ door for his signature.
The outlet adds that Manchester United will not find the door closed since the star will be made available in the market for the right price. The Serie A side have set the former Lille man’s starting valuation at €100m.
These figures have ‘not frightened’ the Old Trafford club, who have ‘long set their sights’ on Osimhen. However, it is not made clear whether the Premier League side will make this huge proposal.
De Laurentiis, for his part, is ‘at the window’ and aware he is in a ‘position of strength’ since a big offer is needed to take the player away from Napoli.
