Four days ago, we covered claims made in Italy which explained Manchester United are ‘in the lead’ to sign Victor Osimhen.
The striker has 18 goals and six assists from 31 matches in all competitions, averaging a goal/assist every 96 minutes this season.
His performances and statistics seem to have caught attention in England. The 23-year-old is aware he has a market in the Premier League, where Manchester United are among the clubs in the mix to sign him.
Wednesday’s edition of Corriere dello Sport states Napoli manager Luciano Spalletti enjoys having the Nigeria international at his disposal and remains hopeful of retaining the frontman, provided the market permits.
That’s because clubs in England have taken notice, including Manchester United. The newspaper says there’s ‘already been an approach’ from the Red Devils, although they give no further information on that.
Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis set a €110m valuation, but Corriere suggest this price is ‘negotiable’.
The Old Trafford club have made contact for Osimhen, and it needs to be seen whether they are ready to invest a big to sign him in the summer.
