Manchester United were expected to withdraw players from squads for the current international break, and that’s been happening already.
Ole Gunnar Solskjær’s side looked tired during their FA Cup defeat to Wolves at the weekend, and the increased performance from some players is clearly having an impact, along with injuries to several others.
It seemed that Anthony Martial wasn’t fully himself against Wolves and it was no surprise to see him then withdrawn from the French squad.
Romelu Lukaku, who has been unavailable to Manchester United because of injury, did travel to meet up with the Belgium squad. He’s still with Roberto Martinez’s side, but that doesn’t mean he’s going to be fit enough to play.
The country’s FA officially announced on Monday evening that Lukaku has had an MRI scan on his foot.

He didn’t train today, and Belgium haven’t yet shared the results of the scan.
That he’s still with the squad would presumably mean there’s no serious injury.
