It now looks like a matter of hours until Manchester United defender Marcos Rojo is announced as Boca Juniors’ newest signing.
The latest reports from Argentina say the player has been at Casa Amarilla, the club’s training centre, and should now have his medical.
Rojo was even filmed and photographed by several outlets when getting out of the car and entering the Genea medical centre, with TyC Sports showing all the images.
The Argentine media continue to claim that Boca Juniors aren’t paying a fee for a transfer, and the defender will sign a two-year contract with the club.
Marcos Rojo joined Manchester United on a €20m deal from Sporting back in 2014. He made 122 appearances for the club, and the last time he entered the pitch for the Red Devils was in a Premier League clash against Brighton in November 2019.
The defender had a loan spell at Estudiantes in the first semester of 2020, where he only had one match. Since returning to Old Trafford in the summer, he was never used by Ole Gunnar Solskjaer.
