Two days ago, the Daily Mail reported that Manchester United could be forced to sell Paul Pogba for £50m in the summer.

However, AS have a different take and they claim the World Cup winner has been ‘devalued’. His valuation has been dropped from €180m, which Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side demanded last summer, to €120m.

The France international has made only seven appearances in the Premier League and has struggled with injuries. Since the end of September, he’s made only two appearances, which came during the festive period in December.

Having played so little this season, Pogba has been ‘devalued’ to €120m. The Spanish newspaper believes no club will pay such a hefty fee in the summer, when he will have a year left on his Old Trafford contract.

It’s to be noted United have an option to extend Pogba’s contract until 2022 and AS haven’t taken it into account.

The report also adds Real Madrid and Juventus seemed ‘very interested’ in Pogba a few months ago, but with the ‘passage of time’ and due to Pogba’s injury, they have ‘cooled these possibilities’.

It remains to be seen if the Italian media share the same stance as AS when it comes to Juve’s interest in Pogba.
