Manchester United have ‘opened negotiations’ with AC Milan regarding a loan deal for Eric Bailly this month.
That’s according to journalist Nicolo Ceccarini, who says the defender is the ‘hottest track’ for Milan as they look for a centre-back this month.
Milan need to find a reinforcement at the back after losing Simon Kjaer to a long-term injury, and they have been exploring their options for both a permanent deal and a loan deal.
The club need to ‘evaluate’ their options before deciding what course to take and whether to make an ‘important investment’ to get a bid name or ‘focus on a loan’.
If they decide to do the latter, then the ‘hottest track’ is the one that leads to Bailly at Manchester United.
They have ‘opened negotiations’ with Milan over a possible deal and are seemingly open to a loan deal, but it will depend on Milan’s ownership to sanction a deal.
They need to decide whether to pursue a loan deal or a permanent one, but if it is to be the former, then Bailly is the man they are looking at.
Manchester United are open to the move, and negotiations are underway, but it might take a while before this one becomes something more serious.
