Following the injury of Luke Shaw, Manchester United may have moved for several targets to be his replacement, and are still to succeed in any of them.

The strongest chase seemed to be for Chelsea’s Marc Cucurella, with reports from England and Spain making it clear the talks for the transfer were developing well.

It turns out that as Marca now brings an update on the situation, they claim that Manchester United have actually given up on this chase.

It’s said that despite an agreement between all parties, Chelsea changed their demands and the deal collapsed.

Marca writes that the Blues had previously accepted the £3m offered by Manchester United for a loan deal. Now they request £4m plus bonuses.

That’s why the Red Devils gave up on the deal and decided to move on. According to the outlet, which corroborates claims in England, the pursuit for a Spanish left-back continues, as they’re now in talks to get Sergio Reguilon signed from Tottenham Hotspur.

With a few hours to the end of the transfer window, Manchester United’s summer market is now turning into a big drama.
