With just over 24 hours left in the transfer window, Leeds United are trying to get some final signings in to bolster Daniel Farke’s squad.

One of those was Ao Tanaka, who is currently at Fortuna Dusseldorf in Germany, who is wanted by the German manager.

Unfortunately, this was being blocked by the Leeds directors, and there is now more reason to be worried that the Farke won’t be getting his man, as Borussia Mönchengladbach are interested, courtesy of Sky Germany.

Via their journalist Florian Plettenberg, it’s said that the Bundesliga side ‘want’ the Leeds target, and this is a destination the player is ‘keen’ on.

Whether Leeds can get a deal over the line remains to be seen, but if those above Farke do give a green light for the deal, there is still time, as there are ‘no agreements’ yet between Tanaka, Düsseldorf or Borussia for the time being.

Therefore, the Elland Road side will have to settle their internal differences, and perhaps listen to their manager if they want to ensure they have the midfielder by the end of the transfer window.
