Real Betis have made firm progress in their efforts to sign Manchester United’s Antony on a dry loan deal in the winter market.

On Tuesday, AS stated the winger’s agent met with the La Liga side’s officials in Spain to discuss the transfer and Antony is expected to travel between Wednesday and Thursday.

Mundo Deportivo also report the Manchester United player’s agents arrived in Spain to finalise his move to Real Betis.

Antony’s representatives Junior Pedroso and Emerson Santos met with Real Betis sporting director Manu Fajardo, technical secretary, Álvaro Ladrón de Guevara and another official, Joaquín Sánchez. The agents also met Real Betis CEO Ramón Alarcón for lunch yesterday.

Mundo state the Brazilian will arrive in Andalusian on Friday, after the Red Devils’ Europa League clash against Rangers on Thursday.

Wednesday’s ABC Sevilla backs up Mundo’s claim and provides a few more details. The 24-year-old continues to train under Ruben Amorim, waiting for Manchester United to give the green light.

In addition to the clash against Rangers, the newspaper states Manchester United ‘need to incorporate a replacement’ and resolve the economic issue with Antony’s agents. The Premier League side will need a few more days to sanction his exit.

ABC Sevilla are also reporting the South American could arrive in Spain on Friday to carry out the transfer formalities with Real Betis.
