It genuinely feels like the transfer season is getting underway early this year, largely down to the lack of football actually being played.
There’s great uncertainty around European football, yet despite claims the Covid-19 crisis could hit potential transfer fees, it’s being claimed big transfers are still on the horizon.
Catalan newspaper Sport have a feature on Barcelona’s transfers in the coming market, and Manchester United play an indirect part.
As far as Sport have it, Chelsea and Manchester United have been battling to sign Jadon Sancho from Borussia Dortmund.
That’s a battle it’s stated United have won, with it being reported the club have ‘managed to convince’ Sancho to sign for them ‘despite the fact that the agreement has not yet been made official’.
Therefore, the Blues have moved on to Philippe Coutinho, and are already in talks with the player’s agent Kia Joorabchian.
On its own, this report from Sport isn’t a concrete signal for Manchester United, but when added to claims from England and Germany it will be another reason for hope among the club’s supporters when it comes to Sancho.
