Benfica star Darwin Núñez’s future can now be finalised, amid interest from Liverpool, Manchester United and Real Madrid, a source tells Sport Witness.
On April 26th, Sport Witness reported the Red Devils, Jürgen Klopp’s side and Arsenal were among the suitors ‘interested’ in the striker.
We had also explained Jorge Mendes has been given a mandate to find a new club for the 22-year-old this summer.
The super-agent is not directly representing the player but is tasked with getting him a move, a role similar to the one he had in Bruno Fernandes’ arrival at Old Trafford in January 2020.
Liverpool faced Real Madrid in the Champions League final on Saturday evening. Earlier this week, reports coming out of Portugal explained the frontman’s move should be sorted out after that clash.
A source has now told Sport Witness that both the Reds and Los Blancos, along with Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain, are among ‘several interested’ suitors of the Uruguay international.
However, claims of Núñez deciding his next destination after the Champions League final are wide of the mark.
