Manchester United are involved in a ‘big battle’ with Paris Saint Germain for Lazio star Sergej Milinkovic-Savic this summer.

That’s according to journalist Nicolo Ceccarini, who says the player’s next move ‘seems to be abroad’.

Reports over the last few weeks have indicated that there is a growing belief at Lazio that Milinkovic-Savic will be on the move this summer and bring his seven-year association with them to an end.

Manchester United are known to be admirers and have been for a number of years, with barely a summer going by in which they are not linked with a move.

That’s building again ahead of this year’s summer transfer window, particularly with Paul Pogba looking likely to leave Old Trafford on a free transfer.

Indeed, this week La Repubblica indicated the Serbian was seen as the natural heir to the Frenchman and that Manchester United and PSG were the two sides battling for his signature.

That’s now been backed up by Ceccarini, who say Milinkovic-Savic is looking likely to be the ‘man in the market’ this summer.

Juventus have ‘had a look’ at the player, but his future ‘seems to be abroad’, and while there are many admirers outside of Italy, the ‘big battle’ is now between United and PSG.

Who wins that battle remains to be seen, but it’s certainly a fight that is building, with a growing belief in Italy that the Lazio star will be moving this year.
