Benfica winger João Félix only played for 19 minutes against city rivals Sporting this weekend, but that was more than enough for him.

The 18-year-old managed to find a late equaliser against the Lions, and that’s enough for him to spend a few days all over the Portuguese media.

On Monday, several outlets have stories about him. Newspaper Record, for example, brings some polls made with Benfica fans saying he should be a starter in the Champions League.

And of course it’s time to link him to some clubs. That’s where Record brings a list of interested sides. They say PSG, Manchester City, Manchester United, Monaco, Milan and Arsenal are all keen. Interestingly, O Jogo comes up with the exact same names.

Felix is currently protected by a €60m release clause, and all this success will certainly convince Benfica to hold him as much as they can.

Now this is not the first time that City, Manchester United and Arsenal are linked to a Portuguese youngster, so we all know it should be a long process until some of the Premier League giants actually go for him. Unless he keeps doing amazing things for the next few months.

Manchester United were the only club, from those named, to have a scout watch the Benfica match at the weekend, and Felix’s big goal.

Jose Mourinho’s club were also reported to be following the youngster in March, when he was with Benfica’s B team.

On Sunday, we stated ‘Do not be surprised to see Joao Felix to Manchester United links build over the next few months’, and it’s taken a single day for it to start.
