For the past few weeks, various reports coming out of Italy have named Manchester United as one of the clubs interested in Napoli star Victor Osimhen.
On May 13th, Area Napoli stated the Red Devils tried to include Anthony Martial as part of a deal for the 23-year-old.
The Serie A side have ‘little interest’ in taking the Frenchman, plus money, to let the 23-year-old join Manchester United.
TuttoMercatoWeb journalist Niccolò Ceccarini states that if Luciano Spalletti’s side receive an offer of €100m, then ‘it would certainly be evaluated’.
Over at Sport Mediaset, they explain Napoli chairman Aurelio De Laurentiis is ‘attracted by the seductive’ market and has a ‘dilemma’ over whether to keep or sell some of his players.
It’s no surprise the Nigeria international is discussed as he is ‘tempting’ other European clubs. The report then states Premier League sides could ‘comfortably put on the table the €100m’ requested by De Laurentiis.
Sport Mediaset tags Manchester United and Newcastle United, as these two sides are ‘in the lead’ to sign Osimhen in the summer. The Napoli chief has already said he will ‘say a resounding yes’, if the club were to receive an offer of €100m for the attacker.
Although Sport Mediaset suggest the two English clubs could table an offer of €100m, only time will tell if either Manchester United or Newcastle submit a proposal in that region for Osimhen.
