For every day of the past week, we’ve had stories with claims from each Portuguese newspaper about the Bruno Fernandes saga.

Now it turns out that on Saturday, only two outlets bring something about the Sporting midfielder.

One of them is Correio da Manhã, who are only covering claims from England about a possible bid of €55m from Manchester United.

The other one, the only with an original story, is A Bola. And despite still believing that the transfer is possible, they sound more prepared for the case Bruno Fernandes stays in Lisbon.

Their headline says ‘Bruno of body and soul’. It’s about the conversation he’s had with president Frederico Varandas, promising that in case he stays, he will give everything for Sporting, and not moan about not being sold.

Regarding the transfer, A Bola claims that agent Miguel Pinho is still in England taking care of it. It’s said that Manchester United and Tottenham Hotspur continue to be close to the player, and ‘could advance at any time’.

The big problem for now is that in the conversations, clubs don’t seem to be willing to offer over €55m. And Sporting continue to demand €70m.
