The agent of Manchester City’s Oleksandr Zinchenko has claimed his client would be open to being involved in the potential deal for Kalidou Koulibaly.
City have been locked in negotiations with the Italian side over the centre back for several months, with Pep Guardiola having made improving his defence a priority.
So far the two clubs have not come close to an agreement, with Napoli demanding a huge fee for the Senegalese centre back and Manchester City yet to get close enough to it.
That is something the two clubs are working on, with negotiations ongoing via the player’s agent Fali Ramadani, who is acting an intermediary because of the strained relationship caused by Jorginho’s failed move to the Etihad in 2018.
Now Alan Prudnikov has suggested a way to bring the two clubs closer together on the asking price, suggesting his client would be open to being involved in the move.
“Zinchenko in the Koulibaly negotiation? He is on the radar of Naples, three years ago there were meetings,” he told Radio Marte, relayed by Napoli Magazine.
“But for this, we have to ask Koulibaly’s agent, of whom we have the utmost respect as well as the Manchester City management.
“What if City called me to include Zinchenko in the negotiation? If it were to do so, we would listen to Napoli’s proposal and try to see what to do.”
