Another day, another youngster being approached by Manchester City, as the Premier League champions continue their extensive hunt for promising talent around Europe.
Just yesterday, Le Parisien claimed that Pep Guardiola’s side, Barcelona and Valencia were all scouting Paris Saint-Germain’s Édouard Michut, and their interest was ‘very real’.
Fast forward 24 hours, and now we’ve got L’Équipe revealing Manchester City had reached out to get information about Tanguy Kouassi, also with the Ligue 1 leaders.
The 17-year-old has yet to sign his first professional contract with Paris Saint-Germain, but has managed to make Thomas Tuchel’s match day squads five times already this season, which shows the level they feel he is currently at.
However, Manchester City aren’t the only club interested, with both Red Bull clubs (Leipzig and Salzburg) making the youngster one of their objectives going forward.
Some viable competition there, as the German and Austrian sides are known to be good stepping stone clubs (no offence meant) for developing youngsters, with multiple French defenders, such as Dayot Upamecano, Nordi Mukiele and Ibrahima Konaté, already there.
What can Manchester City offer to ensure they get their man? Other than money, of course.
