Fast forward to March and Star Gazetesi provide the latest on Manchester City’s interest in the left-back, who has impressed for the Turkish club this season, along with Sebastian Szymański and Fred.
The trio have become ‘indispensable’ for the Yellow Canaries. Despite this, Fenerbahçe are ready to sell them in the summer, as they are being chased by the top European clubs.
It’s claimed Pep Guardiola’s side are ‘preparing to knock’ on the Istanbul club’s door for the 24-year-old in the summer.
The Turkey international’s contract lasts until 2026 and the report states that Fenerbahçe are expecting an offer of around €25m for him. According to the claims, f it’s not met then Kadıoğlu will not be allowed to leave.
Star Gazetesi explain that ‘more developments are expected’ in this case towards the end of the season, suggesting that Manchester City could step up to sign the defender.
Pep Guardiola’s refusal to bet on the only recognised left-back, Sergio Gómez, could see the Citizens sign a new player in the same position in the next window.
