Manchester City loanee Nahuel Ferraresi has been making his love for his current club São Paulo very clear.
Currently sidelined with a knee injury, the defender has just made a strange promise regarding the State Championship.
According to Ferraresi himself, if São Paulo win the competition, then he’d take his clothes off on the most famous avenue in the city.
“Man, if we’re champions of the Paulista Championship, I’ll go to Avenida Paulista in São Paulo and get naked. I’ll get there with no clothes, bro, I swear,” said Ferraresi in a live-streaming (via Gazeta Esportiva).
Ferraresi is loaned to São Paulo until the summer, and in case Manchester City don’t agree a deal for his extension, then that will be his only chance to win a title at the club, as the competition ends in April.
The strangest fact about this story is that the State Championship is the least important tournament that big clubs play in Brazil. There are many non-league sides involved in that, and for a huge side like São Paulo, that’d have the same importance as the League Cup in England.
That basically shows how invested Ferraresi is with his current club, and that should probably have some weight when the clubs negotiate for a longer stay in Brazil.
