Despite reportedly being offered a new contract at Manchester City, Jesus Navas is yet to sign it and appears to be mulling over a potential exit in the summer.
Past reports suggested Roma and their new director of football, Monchi, were a serious destination for the 31-year-old, yet it seems his former club, Sevilla, are the ones in the lead.
The La Liga side’s board have openly discussed the possibility of their former star rejoining the club in the summer, and now they appear to have offered him a contract.
According to Cadena Cope in Spain, Sevilla have put forward a three-year deal with an option for an extra year, and insist Navas is expected to leave the Etihad at the end of the season.
Furthermore, they report that Celta Vigo’s manager Eduardo Berizzo is the favourite to replace the departing Jorge Sampaoli next season.
Spending 10 years with Sevilla’s first-team, the Manchester City is now looking likely to be adding to his 31 goals and 83 assists in 391 appearances for his former club.
