Benfica and Sporting are playing once again tonight, this time for the Portuguese Cup, and all eyes are on the Eagles’ youngster João Félix.

The Portuguese press has been highlighting the 19-year-old for two reasons. Firstly, he’s been amazing this season. And secondly, lots of big European sides are looking to sign him.

The list of pretenders is refreshed today, with newspaper Record naming Real Madrid, Juventus, Barcelona, PSG and Manchester City.

Manchester United are left out this time, but the Red Devils have been one of the first to be linked to Félix, when his success wasn’t that evident.

Anyway, the real reason Félix gets a headline today is because if he scores tonight, then he would be the youngest player to score in three consecutive Lisbon derbies. Only nine players have managed to do it in the match’s history.

Félix had already scored a late equaliser in the 1-1 draw in August, and now had a goal and two assists in the 4-2 win last weekend.

Meanwhile, the Portuguese press continues to say that Félix is not leaving for less than €120m. The race for him may harm Benfica’s plans to hold him until 2020, but the Eagles are making sure the release clause will have to be activated for his departure.
