Manchester City are keeping ‘a close eye’ on KV Mechelen duo Aster Vranckx and Issa Kabore.
That’s according to Gazet van Antwerpen who say the young pair are ‘highly regarded’ by some European clubs this summer.
Manchester City are very keen, though, and have already scouted both players ‘several times’ this year.
For example, they had a scout in attendance at the AFAS Stadium in February when Vranckx scored and assisted a goal in a 2-0 win against Anderlecht.
They are ‘charmed’ by the duo and are now examining whether to make a concrete move for the pair, despite the financial consequences of the coronavirus outbreak.
Should Manchester City wish to make a move, though, they could face fierce competition for their signatures.
AC Milan have previously expressed an interest in Vranckx while Kabore is being watched by clubs all over Europe, according to the newspaper.
Mechelen, for their part, see both players playing an essential role in the first team next season but could not logically say no to a ‘monster bid’ should it arrive for either.
