Manchester City and Liverpool are among clubs in the mix to sign Red Star Belgarde’s Andrija Maksimović.
That’s according to Sky Deutschland journalist Patrick Berger, and he took to X, formerly known as Twitter, to provide a short update.
He mentions Manchester City and Liverpool in a report that mainly focuses on Borussia Dortmund.
The Champions League finalists have the 17-year-old in their sights. The midfielder, who graduated from the Serbian club’s youth system, has been featuring regularly for their first team since September’s international break.
Maksimović has made five appearances this season and that includes a start against Inter Milan in the Champions League. He also made his debut for Serbia’s senior team against Switzerland at the weekend.
At this moment in time, the Bundesliga side are only keeping close tabs on him, without making a concrete approach for Maksimović.
Berger warns Dortmund about the ‘fierce competition’ they will face from Manchester City, Liverpool and Juventus. There’s no further information provided about the Premier League duo.
The youngster has a contract lasting until 2027 and the journalist says Red Star Belgarde want ‘at least €15m’ for him. Berger makes no mention of Maksimović’s future plans.
