Everton’s Beto has been linked with a January move to Italy, with AS Roma and Juventus now being repeatedly mentioned.
At the same time, another Toffees star is now being linked with a move to Italy and that man is Dominic Calvert-Lewin.
Whilst Beto could leave Goodison Park due to lack of game time and because he has never quite settled at the club, Calvert-Lewin’s contract situation is putting clubs on alert.
Corriere dello Sport state that Juventus see the Englishman as an ‘idea’ for the next summer transfer window.
The striker’s current deal at Everton runs until the end of June, and Juve could attempt to sign Calvert-Lewin on a free transfer.
The outlet seem quite confident that, for now, the 27-year-old is inching closer to an exit from the Merseyside club. One reason for that is because of how he has fallen down the England pecking order in recent years.
He wants to enhance his chances of playing for the Three Lions and Juventus feel that Calvert-Lewin’s towering presence can hand them a trump card to win games.
Whether the Bianconeri sign Beto or Calvert-Lewin remains to be seen and it would be interesting to see if they can possibly land both, although that feels unlikely.
