Denmark manager Age Hareide believes Tottenham Hotspur playmaker Christian Eriksen is better than any current Barcelona or Real Madrid midfielder.
The Tottenham star has been in impressive form this season, and especially in recent weeks.
Voetbol international have reported on comments Hareide made to the Danish press about the former Ajax player: “If you look at the players who play in the midfield at Barcelona and Real Madrid, then there is no one better. Luka Modric went from Tottenham to Real Madrid and was not as good as Christian.”
Eriksen was twice on the scoresheet last weekend when he helped Tottenham to the semi finals of the FA Cup at the expense of Swansea City.
The Dane has chipped in with vital goals in this campaign for Tottenham, including the opener against Manchester United at the end of January.
Eriksen is a crucial player in Mauricio Pochettino’s side, and with Harry Kane ruled out with injury, the Denmark international is going to be even more vital for Tottenham in the coming weeks.
With Tottenham chasing a top four spot, and the FA Cup semi final against Manchester United next month, Eriksen will be key.
