It’s still not really taken off in Holland, but the idea that Tottenham are targeting Erik ten Hag to replace José Mourinho is growing around Europe.
The Ajax manager has become one of the more recurring names for the vacant London based job in recent days, and RMC Sport, via their reporter Loïc Tanzi, go as far as stating he is now top of Spurs’ list.
The French outlet state the Dutchman ‘is the priority of Tottenham’s directors’, whom the manager is expected to meet ‘in the next few days’.
It’s explained Spurs have ‘made their interest official’ by contacting ten Hag, who has one year left on his Ajax contract.
However, before he does anything, the manager ‘wants to win the Eredvisie title before starting concrete negotiations’ with the Premier League club.
Ryan Mason is currently in charge of things at Tottenham these days, but his role was always going to be an interim one, regardless of results.
