In the last window, claims from Turkey had stated that Tottenham Hotspur showed keen interest in signing Galatasaray’s Victor Nelsson.

It was also stated the defender wanted a move to the north London club and wasn’t pleased with his side’s decision to reject their offer.

Fast forward to October and Haber7 provide a background on the efforts put in by Tottenham to sign the 24-year-old.

It’s claimed both Spurs and Sevilla had offered around €20m but it was turned down by the Turkish champions at the insistence of their manager, Okan Buruk.

The Denmark international has made 13 appearances [five in the Champions League qualifiers] this season and has been reduced to a substitute’s role in the last three games.

Last week, the centre-back expressed his unhappiness over his current situation and also insisted that he won’t sign a new deal at Galatasaray.

Haber7 now state Buruk has ‘great regrets’ for not allowing Nelsson to join Tottenham or Sevilla in the summer window and the manager made this admission to people close to him.

On September 30th, Akşam reported Ange Postecoglou’s side are still keen on signing the Dane. Buruk should give the green light for the defender’s sale in the upcoming windows.
