Watford’s interest in Mattia Destro is being taken very seriously by Italian newspaper Correiere de Bologna on Wednesday.

After claims from last weekend which said the Hornets would be keen on signing the player for €10m, the local outlet decided to stick to the facts and explain if the operation is possible or not.

First, they make it clear that Bologna’s intention is to keep the player, who’s been in great form, having scored three goals in the last two games. The club’s opinion would only change if facing a very good offer.

There’s also the information that Walter Mazzarri has been friends with Bologna’s sporting director Riccardo Bigon for a long time, something that could make the deal easier.

So it’s claimed that in the case Watford really want to go for Destro, they have total conditions of finding a deal with Bologna, especially if paying the €10m which was previously mentioned.

It seems a matter of waiting for the Watford bid now.
