According to Turkish newspaper Aksam, Besiktas manager Sergen Yalcin doesn’t want to keep Arsenal loanee Mohamed Elneny beyond this season.
Yalcin already announced last week that Loris Karius will return to Liverpool once his loan deal expires at the end of his season.
It’s claimed Elneny is likely to follow the German and that Yalcin is looking to replace the Arsenal owned player with Fatih Aksoy, who’s currently on loan at Sivasspor from Besiktas.
Besiktas are unlikely to make a new offer for the 27 year old Egyptian say Aksam, as they are looking at other alternatives.
The former Basel midfielder has been an important player for Besiktas since joining from Arsenal, but given the Turkish club’s finances they will struggle to sign him on a permanent deal or even loan him again for another season.
Elneny could return to Arsenal to prove himself to Gunners manager Mikel Arteta, with his contract with the North London club expiring at the end of June 2022.
