Turkish side Trabzonspor are eyeing a move for Cengiz Ünder when his loan deal at Leicester City expires in the summer.

Ünder joined the Foxes in the summer transfer window, signing from Roma on a one-year loan deal as Brendan Rodgers sought to add to his forward line.

He’s had something of a difficult time in England, though, managing just two assists in nine games in the Premier League so far.

That has seen Leicester opt against using the €23m option they have to turn his loan deal into a permanent one at the end of the season.

With Roma also not all that keen, it remains to be seen where Ünder will end up, and it seems he may be given the option to return to Turkey.

Karadeniz’de Sonnokta report that Trabzonspor coach Abudllah Avci has added Ünder to his list of possible targets this summer.

Indeed he has received ‘full authority’ from the management at the club to pursue a move and so has already contacted the Leicester man to ask about his ‘situation’ and join him at Trabzonspor.

So far, there has been no moves, but if the forward is open to the idea, Trabzonspor will make a loan offer to Roma for next season.
