Brighton & Hove Albion are currently without a permanent manager after Graham Potter left them last week to become Thomas Tuchel’s successor at Chelsea.
Roberto De Zerbi could emerge as an option for the Premier League side if various claims coming out of Italy are to be believed.
The 43-year-old is currently without a club since leaving Shakhtar Donetsk in July and Brighton are a ‘concrete possibility’ for him, according to Calciomercato.it.
It’s said there will be a ‘remote contact’ at start of this week before any further meetings will take place. As per the report, the Italian likes the project at The Amex and ‘there is healthy optimism’.
Another outlet, Calciomercato, states De Zerbi’s agent has been contacted by Brighton in the last few days, but there is still no agreement.
The website adds there will be an ‘important contact’ between the two parties on Monday, or in the next few days, to try to find an agreement so that the manager could start a new adventure with the Seagulls.
Two sources are now stating Brighton will have contact with De Zerbi and there should be more updates on this case in the coming hours and days.
