Manchester United have become the latest club to join the race for FC Nordsjælland’s Mohammed Kudus.
According to BT in Denmark, there is a ‘lot of interest’ in the 19-year-old.
Earlier reports from France talked about Newcastle United and Everton interest in the Ghana international. The Red Devils and Tottenham Hotspur are now added to the list, along with Ajax, Borussia Dortmund, Marseille and Fenerbahçe.
It’s claimed Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side and Ajax recently watched the player in action for the Danish club. He has 12 goals and an assist to his name, largely operating as a striker and central midfielder this season.
Earlier this week, Kudus was left out of the squad to face Bröndby IF, and as per the report, Nordsjælland have given him time to make a decision on where he wants to play next season.
Kudus’ contract with his current employer lasts until the end of the next calendar year (31 December 2021).
With regards to United, BT’s report only say they watched the player in action for Nordsjælland and no further details are mentioned.
Meanwhile, Nordsjælland sporting director Jan Laursen expects clubs to knock on his side’s door for Kudus this summer.
“There have been rumours since he broke through, and we have to deal with that properly. Sometimes we have to give space for players to think about what is going to happen going forward,” he told Bold.
“This winter there were clubs knocking, but then the whole world was put on hold with the corona crisis. Now we have started again, and then there will be a knock on the door again.
“It was on the cards [summer sale], when we extended Kudus’ contract, that we should see if he could take the next step after this season. When you play for Nordsjaelland, there is a lot of interest and a lot of focus.”
