Fotospor claim Fenerbahce have rejected a €25m offer from Manchester United for their striker Vedat Muriqi as they want to keep him beyond this window.
Yesterday we covered reports from Turkey that Manchester United were still interested in Muriqi and that scouts from the Premier League side are monitoring him.
The Turkish website reports that following United’s claimed bid, Fenerbahce vice president Semih Ozsoy held talks with Muriqi’s agent Haluk Canatar and asked him not to talk about any offers for his client.
During that meeting they both agreed the 25 year old will stay at the club at least until the end of the season as Fenerbahce are planning to sell him in the summer.
It’s reported the Yellow Canaries value the player in the region of €50m as they look to make a massive profit from his sale.
Earlier claims from Turkish media also said Fener rejected €28m offer from Burnley.
Muriqi has scored 13 goals in all competitions this season for the Super Lig club, and he’s under contract until June 2023.
This very much sounds like the Turkish media talking up Manchester United interest to hype the player.
