One of the big mysteries at Paris Saint-Germain these days is whether or not Thomas Meunier will stay beyond the current season.
The Belgium international has made it clear he’d like to remain in the French capital if he possibly can, reiterating this on Tuesday evening during an Instagram Live chat with RTBF in Belgium, but if the doesn’t, he won’t be short of suitors.
Borussia Dortmund have recently been heavily linked with him, but they aren’t the only ones, as Manchester United and Milan in Italy are also on the case.
This is what Le Foot are pushing on Wednesday, claiming Ole Gunnar Solskjaer’s side are ‘staying on top’ of the player’s situation, while the Serie A side have asked for information.
Whether or not Manchester United need Meunier with Aaron Wan-Bissaka making the position his this year is certainly a question worth asking, but with Diogo Dalot seemingly more comfortable a bit further forward, having a rotation option like the 28-year-old at Old Trafford certainly wouldn’t be a bad thing.
Furthermore, the right-back has never hidden his affinity for the Red Devils, so if he knows he’ll get time on the pitch and gets a decent contract out of it, we wouldn’t be surprised if he jumped at the opportunity should it be given to him.
