The Ander Herrera transfer saga has been pretty tedious, so if it’s coming to an end that’s got to be a good thing.
Repeatedly linked with a move to PSG, there have been repeated claims coming from France either questioning the story, doubting the amounts published, or suggesting he’s using the French club as a lever to get more money elsewhere… potentially at Manchester United.
The latter was even published in this week’s edition of France Football, with it being stated the midfielder is interesting for PSG, but nothing has been agreed yet.
There’s of course also been claims of the deal being pretty much agreed, although they’ve mainly come from Spain and England.
On Tuesday evening, AS report that he’s absolutely going to the French club.
They say the only thing missing is the announcement, which will be on the way, and that Herrera has signed up with PSG. He’ll be earning €32m over a four year contract with the Ligue 1 champions, which works out at €8m before tax each season of that deal.
That works out at €154k a week.
It was earlier reported in France that PSG had offered €6m a year, €115k a week.
