A couple of days ago Sport Witness covered some fresh claims on the future of Alex Grimaldo and a possible Benfica exit in the January window.

Portuguese reports claimed a €20m offer from Napoli had been rejected, with the Italian club keen to get a deal sewn up. Manchester United, linked by the Portuguese media for months, were of course mentioned as the competition, and Napoli making a bid is the nudge Jose Mourinho needs to decide what to do about interest.

Record claimed the Manchester United manager has told his club to firm up their watching of Grimaldo, and on Friday evening there was an official at the match against Porto away. In all honesty, that’s not something new, Manchester United watch almost every Benfica match, home and away.
