According to Le10 Sport, only two clubs are left in the race to sign Bernardo Silva from Monaco, and the pair are both Manchester clubs.

With reports that Manchester United have a pre-agreement deal in place with Monaco and Bernardo Silva regarding a transfer in the summer, Manchester City seem to be starting with a small handicap, but that might not be a problem if they offer more.

Furthermore, the French website say the Ligue 1 side have given the player the green light for an exit in the summer, as long as the offers for him are reasonable.

Barring an unlikely slip up, Monaco are currently on course to win the French league for the first time since 2000, and the Manchester United and City target has helped them greatly in that achievement.

The 22-year-old has scored 10 goals and assisted the likes of Kylian Mbappé an Falcao 12 times over 54 games this season.

Previous reports have suggested Monaco could ask for around €50m in the coming months, but if the two Premier League clubs enter some sort of bidding war, that fee could somewhat increase.
