Mundo Deportivo have another Yerry Mina update. Of course they do, the updates are relentless.
The Catalan newspaper states that Mina is now between Manchester United and Everton, with Lyon currently a step below the two English clubs.
A transfer for the player is now considered very close and Mina is deciding whether he wants to be a Red Devil or Toffee, according to Mundo’s sources close to the transfer.
The Colombian defender is said to have ‘agreed’ with both Manchester United and Everton, which would suggest he’s come an agreement on personal terms, and both English clubs are now close to satisfying Barcelona.
Jose Mourinho’s club are said to have ‘increased the pressure’ in recent hours to try and push a transfer through.
Interestingly, Mundo Deportivo say if Mina goes to United there’ll be no buyback option, which would suggest Everton were considering it… something which feels hard to believe at the prices being quoted.
Everton are not completely out of the race, and one advantage for Marco Silva’s club is that Mina would be more a guaranteed starter at Goodison than at Old Trafford.
