Last month, we covered news from Portuguese newspaper Correio da Manhã which said Manchester United are interested in Benfica players Ruben Dias and Andrija Zivkovic.

That was quite interesting to read, because although the Red Devils scout every single Benfica game, there had been no clear targets they had been watching.

The newspaper said that just like Arsenal, José Mourinho’s side would be keeping an eye on the Portuguese defender and Serbian midfielder, with the possibility of bidding for them in the next summer.

Now both Arsenal and United returned to the Estádio da Luz to see Benfica beating Vitória de Guimarães last weekend. The Gunners’ scouting was reported first, with papers saying they were watching that exact duo.

But Correio da Manhã came on with a story on Manchester United’s plans today, and they probably forgot what they published one month ago. Because this Tuesday, they say that only Andrija Zivkovic is of interest.

A good thing for Manchester United is that Zivkovic had an impressive display, being Benfica’s main man in creation and getting a lot of praise from the local press.

The newspaper claims that these players are much wanted in Europe, and it’s very likely good bids will come for in the summer.

But Manchester United’s interest in Zivkovic is still to be mentioned by other sources, so especially after this conflict of information from Correio da Manhã, we are still not sure about this rumour.
