Earlier this month, we relayed news from Brazil that the Football Association has rejected Manchester City’s request to offer Douglas Luiz a work permit.
According to RAC1, via Mundo Deportivo, Girona are interested in taking the 20-year-old on a loan for the second time as he spent the last season on loan with them.
Portu, another midfielder, although more attacking. who plays for Eusebio Sacristán’s side is attracting interest from Sevilla and has already been left out of today’s training session.
If he stays, then it leaves his employer with limited financial resources and taking that possibility into account, the Catalan club have reactivated their interest in the player, who is admired by their technical secretary.
Luiz struggled at Girona under Pablo Machin’s guidance last term and therefore, he has no plans in rejoining them, but it’s the intention of Pep Guardiola’s side to push the South American sign for them, despite him attracting strong interest from FC Porto, Benfica and Fenerbahce.
With just over a day left for the window to close, Luiz is forced to find a new club since he has no work permit to play in England.
