According to a claim in the Turkish media Manchester City sent a scout to the game between AS Roma and Barcelona on Tuesday to get a lowdown on Cengiz Under.
The playmaker was linked with moves to Manchester City and Tottenham Hotspur last summer before he eventually signed for Roma.
Yenisafak have reported Manchester City were present in the Italian capital this week and that they are again showing an interest in Under ahead of the summer window.
The Turkey international joined Roma for €13m at the start of the season and has impressed in his debut season in Serie A. This has brought him to the attention of Manchester City with claims their interest is strong.
During the last summer window we covered reports from Turkey that Manchester City were in talks to sign Under and made an offer for the player. However, their bid was deemed too low and they were asked to offer another €6m, which they didn’t.
Tottenham were also linked with the Roma star after reports they lodged a bid for the forward. It was claimed Tottenham tabled an offer in the region of €9m, but this was later denied in the Turkish press.
